Try and pickup better skills from towns, you should try to have as many passives as you can. You should choose and focus on only one of all the Elements or Martial Arts as a first-time player. Lifespan is entirely irrelevent as it is very difficult to die of old age even when intentionaly trying to. Increasing your aptitude in any element/martial art is pointless since you can change your chosen playstyle at any time and you will easily be able to incease this stat up to a higher threshold as you play. You should aim to get those stats higher thanks to your starting traits. The stats that are most valuable in this game for a beginner are attack, luck, comprehension and combat movement speed. You should mostly ignore the rarity/color of the three traits you pick since there is very little link between quality and rarity/color for traits.
